ADVOCO EXECUTIVE PRESENTS THE BENEFITS OF "GOING GREEN" AT CITYSCAPE 2009.

San Francisco, CA – Advoco, a global consulting firm, announced today that Marty Osborn, Vice President of Advoco Middle East, presented at Cityscape in Dubai on October 9, 2009. Mr. Osborn focused on how "Going Green" with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) strategies can create social and financial value by enabling environmentally friendly and profitable business practices.

Addressing an audience of over 100 real estate professionals, including Facilities Managers, Property Owners, Facilities Designers, Real Estate Developers, Property Managers, and Maintenance Managers, Mr. Osborn outlined where it makes the most sense for companies to start their green initiatives. He also detailed ways in which EAM systems can create shared value — a societal state in which people take greater pride in their surroundings — by helping to ensure that buildings, machines, vehicles, and services are operating and being maintained at peak condition. Additionally, when facilities and services operate at optimal levels, Mr Osborn noted that there is typically less waste and reduced resource demands (electricity, gas, water), which can benefit the bottom line for businesses.

During his presentation, Mr. Osborn made a point of describing the changing regulatory environment and how it will favor green business practices going forward. He closed his presentation with recommendations for how to choose an EAM system and what functionality is required to support green initiatives.
