To revamp Pinnacle Systems global network and protect it against a complex and multiplying range of threats, we began with a detailed risk analysis across Pinnacle's U.S. and European offices. The work was spearheaded by Advoco's Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) consultants, who immediately set to work gathering information, studying risks, and generating relevant documentation.

Realizing that if security policies materially hamper productivity no one will adhere to them, we closely involved users in determining the final recommendations for the new system. In addition, users are now part of an ongoing process to ensure that changes to security policy are understood and embraced.
