FirstGroup America has emerged as a market leader in metro regional transportation services, following its rapid growth and the acquisition of Ryder Trucking Fleet Transportation Services and most recently Laidlaw International, Inc. The company operates in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico, with more than 500 offices in North America. To help keep staff costs to a minimum, while providing flexible and scalable service, FirstGroup America made the strategic decision to outsource its IT operations to an ASP (application service provider). But after the ASP was forced to shutdown, FirstGroup needed to find a new ASP partner-fast.
